5 Movies You Should Binge Watch On the Lonely Night’s of The Lockdown

While the lockdown has been softened, a vast majority of us will still be stuck at home up until work resumes fully.

So here’s my own recommendation for some great shows you can binge watch on Netflix or Prime Video or download outright.

1. Fauda
Great show! If you loved Jack Bauer’s 24 or any show where the good guys chase those nasty terrorists then this is your thing.
Set in modern day Palestine and Isreal, the show’s protagonists is the intense IDF operative called Doron who will stop at nothing to catch the bad guys even at the detriment of his family and sometimes the relationship with his colleagues.

2. Startup
If you loved Silicon Valley then you’d loved this. This is Silicon Valley but it is not set in California but in the hoods of Miami. It also has a mixture of the Haitian gang culture and a touch of the dirty bankers in Miami. A must see.

3. Extraction
A Netflix original that was released two weeks ago.

A black-market mercenary who has nothing to lose is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord.

It has borne the brunt of mixed reviews as a lot of movie critics have complained of its camera angles, how bloody the fights was and how India and Bangladesh was misrepresented as dirty and thuggish. I did love it though. Chris Hemsworth was Chris Hemsworth. Bullied everyone. Beat everyone until a bullet from the back took him down of the bridge.

4. SERGIO
A United Nations diplomat Sérgio Vieira de Mello must fight for his life when a bomb blast in Baghdad, Iraq, cause the walls to come crashing down.

If you loved the Drug banging TV show Narcos then you’d love the protagonist here. After playing Pablo in Narcos, Wagner Moura returns in this thriller and trust me – you’d love this.

5. Jack Ryan
Released exclusively on Amazon Prime, this show had me glued to the screen all through the night. Saw all episodes in 24 hours.

The season has Jack Ryan go head to head with the President of Venezuela.

Author Tom Clancy introduced the character of Jack Ryan in a series of books before Ryan headed to the big screen in several films.
