Foods you should eat when you’re drunk after a Late Night Out

1. Whole Wheat Crackers:

Crackers contain whole grains made up of complex carbs that help absorb alcohol, and B vitamins, an ingredient that gets depleted when you drink alcohol and is known to worsen hangovers, says Amy Jamieson-Petonic, a registered dietitian.

2. Microwave Popcorn: Sometimes your drunk self really just requires something salty. When sweet or savoury won’t do, popcorn will deliver without all the fat in chips or fries. Also, popcorn is full of fibre, and it’s relatively low in calories, so you can eat a lot of it without doing too much damage.

3. Cereal With Low-Fat Milk: If you’re not an oatmeal person, whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk contains the same good stuff in the carb-rich snacks above.

4. Pancakes: If you’re the kind of person who drunk eats breakfast food, pancakes aren’t a bad option — just avoid high-fat butter and go easy on the syrup.

5. A Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Go for grilled meat over deli meats, which tend to contain more sodium, and skip the cheese and mayo to cut fat out of the equation. When they ask if you want fries with that, opt out or at least find a friend to split a small order.
