Hate Mail: A Stage play at Muri Okunola

Hate Mail is an epistolary play, with two actors reading letters and other correspondence. It tells the story of Timi, a spoiled rich kid who meets his match in Elizabeth, an artist. Their worlds collide when Timi sends a complaint letter that gets Elizabeth fired from her job, and then there’s no turning back. The play stays with their increasingly crazed correspondence as they move from hate to love, and then right back again.
The play fuses witty and spikey dialogue interpreted with superb acting along with a fusion of audio-visual aids for a thoroughly immersive and entertainment experience.
Timi and Elizabeth take us on an emotional rollercoaster fleeting between love and hate, exploring the transient nature of human emotions and actions.
