Ukapisua Means “The End And Turn Of The Year in Efik. The predominant language spoken in Akwa Ibom.
To further promote tourism in the state, the Akwa Ibom State Government kicked off the ‘Ukapisua’ initiative.
Speaking at the official press conference, Hon Victor Attai said ‘I understand, we are not Trending #Ukapisua for Akwa Ibom people, it is about selling what we have in Akwa Ibom State to the World. We want to attract the global tourism market. I expect you to understand this by now’.
The event is set for Boxing Day, the 26th of December.
Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Runtown, Tuface, davido and Tekno are set to perform at the festival.
