Marley died on 11 May 1981 at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami (now University of Miami Hospital), aged 36. His death was caused by the spread of Melanoma to his lungs and his brain.
The 11th of May is celebrated by his fans as Marley Day’. Events are held around the world to celebrate his music, his lifestyle and the ideals he stood for.
Abuja is no exception this year as reggae lovers are coming together to celebrate the Icon.
