Calabar Carnival 2018: Africa’s Biggest Street Party

Calabar Carnival

Another time of the year has come to celebrate African culture and heritage by means of music, dressing, drama and other fascinating cultural creativities. Come what may, Calabar carnival is set to hold this December. This much anticipated carnival is presumed to be the largest in the whole of Africa with the most colourful display of costumes which reflect the beauty of our culture.

The traditional ruler and other title holders with the sons and daughters of the soil will come together to partake in the carnival that attracts over two million spectators from different parts of the world. This event usually witnesses a large media coverage by various media bodies both home and overseas. The level of enthusiasm filled in the spectators who participate in this unique annual festival is unquantifiable and the glamour of tourism it presents puts us on a grand scale.
