The Lagos Nightlife Slowly Creeps Back as the LASG relaxes Lockdown Measures

The government of Lagos is currently trying to relax all lock-down measures put in place to fight the pandemic and prevent the spread of the virus amongst her citizens.

The lockdown has brought in its wake, the closure of nightlife businesses and left thousand of those employed jobless as a result.

However as the world begins to understand the virus more and more, governments around the world are easing measures previously put in place because of the pandemic.

Lagos and Abuja have not being left out.

Lounges and restaurants have been allowed to open and operate at a  50% customer acceptance capacity. Previously only take outs were allowed.

A visit to some of the lounges have shown that this is already helping revive the job loss experienced in the night life industry in the last 4 months. Nightlife business are resuming and recruiting staff again.

However the biggest uplift will be experienced once the government moves up the curfew from 10am to 12am. We expect this to happen in the coming weeks or right before the end of the month.
