Sex on the Beach is a fun, silly, light-hearted, easy-going fruity alcoholic cocktail containing vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice and cranberry juice. The origin of Sex on the Beach goes as far back as 1987, about the time when peach schnapps was introduced in Florida, USA. A creative bartender concocted the cocktail and gave it the interesting name it bears till date.

This is one of the cocktails with the most ecstatic flavours in the world, the alcohol flavour is mild enough for occasional drinkers, the potency is a little higher than your regular cocktail and it is capable of leading you to funny consequences as you desire. So you are hereby advised to free your mind, don’t limit yourself to just one glass (that’s boring), let the cocktail sneak up on you and have unregretful fun.
Now the recipe:
Ingredients
- Ice cubes
- 50ml vodka
- 50ml peach schnapps
- Dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 100-150ml cranberry juice
- 100-150ml orange juice
- Lemon slices, fresh or maraschino cherries and mint sprigs, to serve
Method
- Fill two chilled highball glasses with ice cubes. Place the vodka, peach schnapps and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker and shake well or pour into a jug and stir well. Divide between the two glasses.
- Top up each glass with equal measures of cranberry and orange juice. Add a slice of lemon and a cherry to each glass and serve decorated with fresh mint sprigs.
