Don’t Take Drugs From Others – This one should be a no-brainer. Don’t accept drugs, pills, really anything from strangers. You never know what’s in them. Even the nicest looking people are capable of doing some awful stuff.
Have A Meet-Up Spot – If you’re going with a group of friends, it’s entirely possible you’ll all get separated during the craziness of a show. Spend a few minutes beforehand to pick a meeting spot just in case. It will save you all a headache.
Bring a Portable Charger – Nowadays, everyone has a cell phone. Most concert-goers use it to record the entire show. If you’re one of those people, bring a portable charger to keep your battery up. You never know when you might need a phone.
Wear Ear Plugs – Even if it isn’t the “cool” thing to do, wear them for your protection. Loud music is awful for your long-term hearing, and you can buy plugs that barely distort the sound at all. The band wears them to protect their hearing, so can you.
Have Phone Numbers Memorized – In the chance that your cell phone does die, you don’t have a portable battery, no meeting spot planned, and you’ve been separated from your friends, it’s smart to know their phone numbers. That way, you can find another concert-goer and quickly borrow their phone. It’s never stupid to be prepared.
Say Something – This goes along with knowing where security is. If you see something sketchy going on, be sure to say something. Don’t just wait for someone else to do it. It’s your responsibility to report that sort of stuff.
Know the Location – Some concert venues are super convoluted. It’s smart to know how the place is laid out – exits, sections, etc. If something goes wrong, you know how to be out of there and into safety.
