Fun in October, My Ultimate Lagos Bucket list.

My Lagos bucket-list. 10 top fun things to do in lagos

Lagos despite being recently voted one of the most stressful cities to live in, is a marvelous destination. A city bustling with so much energy and vibes. If you have lived here or have visited a few times, you can attest to the fact that there is always something fun to do or discover.

Lagosians are a friendly and vibrant bunch and the energy here is seriously contagious. Below is my Lagos bucket list (some fun things i have always wished to do that i haven’t gotten myself to do yet but hope to get done this  October)  plus a few that will help you enjoy your time here.

Go a full day without social media

While this is not a Lagos focused thing, Social media is certainly something most people can’t just do without, While Social media is incredible and lets us keep in touch with people across the world who we’d probably never see or speak to again. As wonderful as it is in keeping you connected, it can easily consume your time too. So here we go, bucket list Number one, I am proposing and challenging you to go one day without social media. Are you up for it?

Go Zip-lining

Do people actually go zip lining? Hell yes they do. Zip lining has been on my bucket list for quite a while now. I put it there because it looked good. Not that I was ever going to do it. I’m afraid of heights and even at the office my colleagues laugh the hell outta me just because i prefer taking the stairs to using the elevators.

While it really may not be my thing, I started watching it online and it looked fun. People were all smiling, and the reviews they wrote were full of good times. So I decided to get zip lining off my bucket list — as in, go ahead and do it. Have i done it yet? Hell No, i still am scared as hell but i sure plan on crossing this off my list this month and you really should too.

Go Surfing at Takwa Bay

Again this is one item i just haven’t gotten myself to do. For no good reason i stay away from anything called Water. From swimming pools to seas, oceans or what not may. Worst of all i am a full rivers boy, born and breed, my grand fathers were even fishermen yet i have this crazy phobia for water. This is it guys, i certainly am crossing this off my list this month.

Boat cruise on the Lagoon

Whether on a yacht or speed boat trust me this is a really fun thing to do. Make sure to enjoy the amazing experience of a boat cruise. You can plan yours or you can take advantage of the many boat cruise packages organized from time to time.

Tour Lagos at Night
Of course you don’t want to do this during one of those Traffic filled days. This is all the more beautiful when the hectic traffic has cleared. You get to grasp a good view of the city. Hop on 3rd Mainland bridge and enjoy the peace and calm of the lagoon at night as well as the golden street lights. Feel the peace of the city.

Experience life with Nature at Lekki Conservation Center

The Lekki Conservation Center is one place you certainly want to visit. Not only do you get to see animals roam freely in their natural habitat, you sure will get the best experience of picnics with the forest walk and the serenity of nature. One of the main attractions of the park is the walkway where you will find yourself close to the clouds.

Party with your favorite Super Star

While this is no easy task, i really am bent on crossing this off my bucket list this month. Imagine partying with Don Jazzy, ride in the same car, go to the same club and sit at the same table.

Go For A Spa Session

The hustle and bustle of lagos isn’t fuuny at all. In fact it was recently voted the 3rd most stressful place to live after Pakistan and Bangladesh. This is why going for a spa session to massage off all the stress is on my bucket list for this month. If you’d like to do the same, you can buy cheap spa vouchers on:

  1. spas.ng
  2. dealdey.com
  3. jajawaka.comThese are some of my Lagos bucket list i aim to cross before the end of this month. Are you open to joining me explore any of these? Drop your comments below, suggest a few more fun bucket adventures. I sure would be glad to join you on a trip or a Lagos adventure.
