‘Jagaban’ crooner Ycee has emerged as the Best African Hip Hop Artist at the 2017 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The Nigerian rapper won the award for his single ‘Juice’ at the ceremony which held at the Eko Convention Center, Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos.
The song was produced by the polpular Nigerian Uk based producer Maleek Berry. He was also featured on the song.
Ycee fought off competition from some of the continent’s best, including South Africans AKA, Emtee and Nasty C. Morrocan French Montana was also nominated.
The singer signed to Tinny Entertainment enjoyed a great year. He released his debut project, “The First Wave” which produced the single ‘Juice’.
Ycee also drove the ladies wild at the Lagos State sponsored event when he performed the award winning song.
