These Home made Jameson Cocktails Will Add Fun to Your Weekend.

According to Wikipedia, Cocktail may mean any beverage that contains two or more ingredients provided at least one of those ingredients contains alcohol. What ever the kind you choose to go with, it is a fact that there is no party without Alcohol.

Cocktails can never be overrated and whisky makes one of the best bases for cocktails. With the ever-reliable and extra smooth alcoholic brand Jameson, your whisky cocktail experience is about to go over the top.

To throw some color into your week, weekends and even 2018, here are three Jameson-based cocktails to set you on that smooth ride into the new year and a short description on How to go about making them from the comfort of your home courtesy of Nigerian’s online drink marketplace drinks.ng.

Jameson, Ginger & Lime

This is about the most popular of all Jameson-based cocktails. It even comes as a special recommendation from the brand’s website, which describes it as a blend of “three refreshing elements that bring out the best in each other.”

What you need

50ml of Jameson Irish Whiskey
Quality bottled ginger ale
Large wedge of lime

How to make

In a high ball glass, pour in some ice
Add a shot of Jameson
Pour in bottled ginger ale and stir briefly to mix
Garnish with a large wedge of lime; squeeze before dropping it into the glass

Irish Car Bomb

Do not let the name confuse you into thinking you can drink and drive – it is a crime to drink and drive, as well as a careless play with your life and that of others.

Back to our cocktail, the Irish Car Bomb is literally an explosive cocktail. Although it is traditionally a beer cocktail, or should we say stout, it can be switched to an Irish whisky cocktail either ways.

What you need
3/4 pint Guinness stout
1/2 shot Bailey’s Irish Cream
1/2 shot Jameson Irish Whiskey

How to make

Pour the Bailey’s Irish Cream into a shot glass.
Add the Jameson Irish Whiskey.
Finally, pour your Guinness into a beer mug. Let the foam settle.
Drop the Bailey’s/Jameson shot glass into the Guinness.
Drink fast.

Jameson Whisky Sour
Weekends should full of fun and sweetness, but there is nothing wrong with adding a little bit of sour taste on the side. This is one classic cocktail that has remained relevant for over two decades since it was first made.

What you need
60ml of Jameson Irish Whiskey
4 dashes freshly-squeezed lemon juice
1 bar spoon of granulated sugar
1 splash sparkling water

How to make
In a mixing glass, pour in the lemon juice
Add sugar to the glass and allow it to dissolve
Pour in the sparking water into the mixing glass
Add whiskey and fill with ice
Stir well
Strain into a sour glass
Garnish with a cherry
